Moving on after a breakup

Right now you are feeling sad and pretty sorry for yourself, not to mention heartbroken. Please don’t get me wrong but my advice is simply “Get up and move on!”

Please don’t just sit around and mope. Firstly you wasting precious time and then by sitting around you really aren’t helping anyone. If anything you are making the sore sink in deeper and will eventually have even a harder time trying to move on after your breakup. Some people actually lead themselves into a physical breakdown.

If you’ve the party that’s done the whole breakup thing, then to an extent you should find it a little easier to carry on with your life. If on the other hand you’re the party that has been dumped. I really have sympathy for you. We all handle situations differently. Some of us are born strong, while other’s take things a little harder. Oh and the truth is; woman are the more “emotional” species, so we tend to take things far harder. Always allowing those “feelings” get in the way!

I know that it sounds hard to say to someone -”Get up, move on and you’ll see all will be OK” But there is a lot of truth to that. If we really think about it, it would be important to have some time out. Time to sort yourself out and pull yourself together. Time to realize that things are over. That, of course must be cleared out completely with you and your partner. you must both know where you stand and if you both agree that your breakup is final, then you must let that sink in and know that there’s no turning back.

Once you are sure things are over between the two of you. I suggest that you first of all find a hobby, or if you already have something that you enjoy. Make a point and go do it. It helps a million, because it gets your mind off your emotions and your problems at the same time. The bonus is because you are enjoying what you doing, you being to find some kind of inner peace. Another good bit of advice is to join a social group of some sort. How about a gym or sport club. Anything where you get to socialize or interact with people. Being with people will help you without you even realizing it. Just please don’t try to hide from the world.

Moving on after a breakup might seem difficult at first, but then again what’s not difficult in the beginning. Everything seems difficult at first but then once you start doing it, it gets easier and easier. The best bid of advice someone once gave me I really must share with you, because it stuck and whenever I’m in a difficult situation I think back to what she said. “Remember my dear, this too shall pass.” So no matter how sad you are feeling at this moment in time. Time does heal. Look at it this way, a year from now, this situation will be something of the past and I’m pretty sure you’ll be happy again. Life is wonderful with all it’s ups and downs. Appreciate the life you have and I’d like to see you moving on after your breakup. I want you to hold up your head high and face your fears. Give things time and take the chances, make choices and believe in yourself. I know that we all have faith, We just need to learn to trust our instincts.

Be strong, be happy and move on. No matter what you choose, it will be the best for you and remember you are special.
